This charming house is an authentic Stanford cottage that has been sensitively renovated to replicate the original exterior aspect. Inside the cottage, interior walls have been removed and the ceiling opened to create a double volume and an airy, light space.
The queen bed is extra length and with the en-suite bathroom, is set on one side of the open plan room. There is adequate hanging and drawer space with a built-in power bank for electrical equipment.
The bathroom has a large walk in shower with a luxurious shower head. There is generous storage space for personal bathroom belongings and a large mirror over the basin. Linens are of excellent qualty, with high thread count and thick towels.

A central seating space is furnished with over-stuffed Art Deco chairs, with a wood burning stove to keep the cottage cosy on a chilly night. The dining table is created out of recycled wood, glass and steel, it has 4 very comfortable leather chairs, inviting extended visits around the table.
A small but adequate kitchen is equipped with Smeg gas/electric stove and Smeg fridge/freezer. It is fully equipped with all necessary appliances and utensils, including microwave.
Sliding doors open onto a covered veranda that looks onto a lovely indigenous garden, water feature and fantastic mountain views. Handcrafted Adirondack chairs provide comfortable seating, with a built in braai set to one side. A cottage garden has been planted with herbs for guests’ use.
Doors and windows have been fitted with American shutters, allowing for air flow, and security. Covered off street parking provided behind lockable sliding gate.
Bedroom: Open plan living/bedroom with Queen bed
Bathroom: En-suite shower room.
- 2 nights minimum throughout the year, surcharge applicable on 1 night bookings
